Understanding Dairy: From Farm to Training Table

Allison Parker, MS, RD, LDN, Robin Brown, RD, LDN, Sue McCloskey and Katie Knappenberger, MS, RD, CSSD, ATC will provide an overview of: How dairy foods – like milk, cheese and yogurt - can help athletes optimize their own training, fueling and recovery; understand how dairy foods fit into a healthy, sustainable diet and can be a meal or snack solution including pre- and post-workout to help fuel an active lifestyle; highlight how CPSDA members can connect with their state/regional dairy association to partner on various activities; and address dairy myths/misperceptions while providing an understanding of basic on-farm practices that ensure milk quality, animal care, technology use, and what dairy farmers are doing to ensure the sustainability of their industry.  This series is supported by our partners at the National Dairy Council.
